AboutHealthy Stores Project

We’re a team of nutritionists, public health workers, scientists and IT specialists from Monash University. Over many years, we’ve worked in partnership with remote communities to support healthier stores and community wellbeing.

We are guided by Aboriginal leadership and work in partnership with Aboriginal-led organisations and health services. This shapes everything we do.

We acknowledge the invaluable contribution of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander knowledge and wisdom to the work that has occurred in remote community stores and the broader community for better food and nutrition and recognise the privilege we have in continuing together to build understanding of how best to support healthy food environments and food systems in remote communities.
